Deborah K Sheets, age 70 a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 20, 2025, at the Licking Memorial Hospital. Born on October 21, 1954, in Lancaster, Ohio, Deborah lived a life full of love, joy, and unforgettable moments that will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Deborah's career was marked by her dedication and hard work at various establishments, including Avis Car Rental, JC Penny Outlet, Ralston, and Anchor Hocking. Her industrious spirit and friendliness endeared her to colleagues and customers alike, reflecting her outgoing personality. Deborah was known for her honesty and directness, always willing to share her thoughts, which made her a memorable figure in both her professional and personal life.
A proud graduate of Lancaster High School, Deborah continued her education at OUL. She often reminisced about her time there and the impact it had on her growth. Throughout her life, she found great joy in simple pleasures, such as thrift shopping for bargains and enjoying word search puzzles. However, it was during the Christmas season that her true spirit shone. Every year, she went above and beyond to spoil her loved ones, transforming the holidays into a magical experience filled with joy and wonder.
Deborah's most treasured accomplishments were her two sons, Rick (Becky) Gatwood and Matt Sheets. She poured endless love and support into their lives, being a source of strength and encouragement. Her legacy as a devoted mother will continue through them. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Jim Sheets, her nephew Chris Stalter, and her beloved feline friend Molly.
Deborah's family, including her late parents, Oma and Arnold Graves, her sister Ruth Stalter, and her brother Billy Graves, will be waiting to welcome her with open arms. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will undoubtedly live on in the laughter and love she brought to those fortunate enough to cross her path.
As we remember Deborah K Sheets, we celebrate her life, filled with love, generosity, and a spirit that could light up any room. She will be profoundly missed but forever cherished.
