DoraMae Yvonne Blankenship

Born Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 9:33 PM. DoraMae weighed 2lbs 3oz at and measured 15 inches long 28 weeks and 2 days gestation. At six days old she went to be with our Lord, embraced by her parents and surrounded by family on May 2, 2025. Though she was only with us for 6 short days she was a blessing who will be carried in our hearts until we meet again. She is deeply loved by all her family including her name sakes preceding her who are caring for her now; great great grandmother Dora M. Butterfield and great grandmother Yvonne Blanchard.

Surviving are her parents, Sonja M. Petro-Roy and Eric N. Blankenship; brothers, Cameron A. Petro-Roy, Connor D. Petro-Roy, Leon N. Blankenship and Elijah Z. Blankenship; maternal grandparents, Lori and Paul Kidder, and Michael E. Azbell; maternal great grandmother, Charlotte Shaw; paternal grandfather, Jeffrey L. Blankenship; paternal aunts and uncles, Erin L., Carl B., Toya L., Shelly L., Jessica M. Vickey L., Marcus J., and Jeremy B.; maternal aunts and uncles, Jonathan (Bryant), and Dustin (Kerri); and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Kimmey M., and paternal aunt, Susan M.

Family and friends may visit from 10-12 PM before a celebration of life in memory of DoraMae Yvonne Blankenship officiated by elder Nick Perini at noon on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will immediately follow in Shaw Family and Friends Cemetery, Rockbridge.
