Dorsie Lewis, Jr

Dorsie Lewis, Jr., 63, of Lancaster, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 11, 2014.

Dorsie retired from Premier Auto Glass. He was a kind and generous person who would help anyone in need. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Dorsie also loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends as if they were his own children and grandchildren.

Dorsie is survived by his wife, Alva Lewis; children, Angela Pierce, Dorsie (Donna) Lewis III, Karen K. (Donald) Lewis, and Trisha (Ryan) Lewis; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sisters, Karen Mason and Cindy Hedges.

Dorsie was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsie and Betty Lewis; parents-in-law Virgil and Becky Mowery; sister, Virginia Friesner; and brothers, Orville Lewis and Ricky Lewis.

Funeral service for Dorsie will be held at 10:00 am Thursday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster with Mark Perry officiating. Caring Cremation will follow. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Donations may be made in memory of Dorsie to the American Cancer Society, 5555 Frantz Rd, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
